KEVIN SCOTT: LEAD GUITAR

From the mountains of Colorado to the backroads of St. Louis, Kevin Scott is paving the way for the next generation of guitar players. Scott began his quest for a signature style at age 12, when he got his first guitar. Before that, he used to play on a Jackson that his dad purchased at a local pawn shop. He spent all of his time learning to play like his heroes. After about a year without lessons, Kevin was already playing with bands in the St. Louis blues circuit and was sitting in on late night jam sessions. Scott later formed his own band: The Kevin Scott Revolution and had a job as the lead guitarist for an Elvis tribute artist. He then began playing for the Traffic Jam Blues Band. Now at age 19 Kevin Scott continues to perform with his original band, has been in several guitar competitions, and has worked a couple of his songs into the Traffic Jam line up. In Scott's own words, "Most people believe the pinacle of good music has come and gone. And everything that can be done on guitar already happened. I'm here to prove you wrong."
